What if your everyday work could become an expression of your worship to God?

For many Christians, faith and work can feel like two separate parts of life. We know how to follow Jesus at church, at home and in our relationships. But what does following Him look like in our everyday work?

Introduction to Work-Based Ministry is a six-part video course designed to help you develop a biblical understanding of God’s purpose for work and discover what it means to serve Him through it. It answers questions like:

  • Does God care about the work itself?
  • Can an ordinary working day have Kingdom purpose?
  • And what does it actually mean to be a minister through your work?

Your work matters to God

Work takes up a significant part of our lives, but it’s easy to think of it simply as the place we earn a living, build a career or get through our Monday to Friday. The Bible gives us a much bigger vision.

Work was part of God’s good design from the beginning. As people made in His image, we have been created to work with purpose, stewarding what He has entrusted to us, serving others and contributing to the world around us.

Whether you’re sending emails, leading a team, teaching a class, caring for patients, serving customers, designing products or making strategic decisions, your work can become an expression of worship and a place where you learn to partner with God.

In a nutshell, that’s what it looks like to be a work-based minister!

Who is this course for?

This course is for any Christian who works – paid or voluntary!

You might be at the beginning of your career or have decades of experience. You might lead an organisation, work as part of a team, run your own business or spend your working day serving customers, patients, pupils or clients.

You don’t need any previous theological training. But you do need to be willing to explore what the Bible says about your work and ask:

What could change if I began to see my work the way God sees it?
