Discovering that work can be worship

Worship.Works grew out of a journey that began more than 25 years ago, as our founder, Daniel Ghinn, began exploring what it really means to serve God through everyday work.

Through his own experience, Daniel came to see that faith and work do not need to occupy separate parts of life. God cares about our work, and our everyday working lives can become an expression of worship: doing our work well, serving people, showing love and integrity, and seeking to make a positive difference.

Over time, that conviction grew into a desire to help other Christians discover the same thing. Wherever we work, we believe God can work through us to serve others, bring hope, do good and make a positive difference in the places and communities around us.

Inspiring, encouraging and equipping Christians

Today, our mission is:

To inspire, encourage and equip Christians to serve God through their day-to-day work.

We want to help Christians see their work with fresh purpose and grow as work-based ministers: people who serve God through their work, intentionally love and serve those around them, and learn to recognise where God is at work and how they can respond.

This can shape the way we do our jobs, treat our colleagues, make decisions, lead others, use our skills, respond to challenges and look for opportunities to bring hope and encouragement.

We do this through teaching, events and practical support.

The School of Work-Based Ministry

In 2025 we launched the School of Work-Based Ministry, creating structured pathways to help Christians develop a deeper Biblical understanding of work and put it into practice.

Through programmes including the Introduction to Work-Based Ministry, Year of Transformation and Christian Graduate Programme, we help Christians explore what it means to serve God faithfully and practically through their everyday working lives.

We also love working alongside church congregations, Christian ministries and other organisations that share a desire to encourage and equip Christians in the workplace.

We believe God is already at work in workplaces everywhere. We want to help Christians recognise what He is doing, serve the people around them, and discover how their everyday work can become an expression of worship.

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”
