About the programme
Are you a recent graduate who is looking ahead at the future and wondering, ‘What next?’ We understand that it can be a daunting position to be in, but be encouraged that you are in a stage of your life that is packed with potential and possibilities! And for those who walk with Jesus, you can be certain that He will be with you whatever the next steps look like.
We believe that a really important question for Christian Graduates to be asking is this:
‘If my choice to follow Jesus impacts every area of my life, what could that mean for my career?’
What is a Work-Based Minister?
At Worship.Works we believe the Bible teaches that every Christian can serve God full-time through whatever work they do in any sector or field. Serving God as a minister is not reserved only for those employed by a local church or in missions, but for all believers.
With the talents, gifts, interests and skills that God has given you, you can go into the workplace as His representative (a work-based minister) to serve your colleagues, clients or customers; to work with excellence in everything you do; to seek His Spirit’s wisdom and insight to guide you in every aspect of your job role; and to bring God’s Kingdom with you into your place of work.
The Worship.Works Christian Graduate Programme is a year-long immersive training programme that equips you for work-based ministry.
What work will I be doing?
Alongside receiving theological training, our graduates are given a work placement in a partner organisation that serves the world’s largest companies in regulated sectors. The types of roles our graduates have held include Digital Intelligence & Insight and Technology.
During the 12-month programme you will develop highly valuable and transferable skills, relevant to the role you are in. You’ll be trained and mentored in a real-world professional context, using the latest technologies and techniques.
You will also gain experience from being part of a growing business and have plenty of opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across different kinds of business roles.
What career prospects will the programme give me?
After the successful completion of the 12-month programme, many of our graduates are offered permanent positions within the organisation where they are placed and go on to long-term careers, thriving and growing in skills as they increase in responsibility and seniority.
Former graduates have also moved on to roles with aspirational employers including Deloitte, Wellcome Trust, and Sainsbury’s HQ, where they have been able to put all they learned from the programme to great use as they continue to build their careers.
